Reverend Canon Benoni Mugarura-Mutana is a priest in the Anglican Church of Uganda and has been serving in this position for over 30 years. He worked as the Chaplain of St. Francis Chapel, Makerere University until October 2007. The focus of his ministry has been among the youth, counseling, pasturing and the development and equipping of leaders. In addition to his work among the youth, he is serving on international organizations, including but not limited to Sharing of Ministries Abroad (SOMA) and the Anglican Renewal Ministries. Through his experiences in these organizations, he has come to realize that there is a great need for an inexpensive, comfortable location at which training in leadership, ministry and team building can take place.

Canon Mugarurahas shared the message of Jesus Christ in many churches over the past 30 years in the Kenya, the Democratic Republic of Congo, U.S., Canada and Great Britain.

Mrs. Joyie Mugarura is a trained veterinarian who gave up her career to work as a lay minister in the church of Uganda and has since been a partner with her husband in all his ministry opportunities, and therefore, shares his vision to transform the leadership among the youth and eventually the church and the nation of Uganda. She has been the key to the acquisition and development of the plot of land that has been reserved for the purpose of this training Centre. In addition to working hand in hand with her husband, Joy has had specific ministry among newlyweds, pastors’ children, as a leader in the Bible Study Fellowship of Uganda.
